South Central Railway sets up ‘Pensioners Help Desk’
Secunderabad: The South Central Railway (SCR) has taken the initiative to address the grievances of railway pensioners. A ‘Pensioners Help Desk’ will be installed at zonal head quarters at Rail Nilayam, Secunderabad and also at divisional head quarters at divisional offices in Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded.
Workshops would be held at Lallaguda, Guntapally, Renigunta and S&T Workshop Mettuguda. Office construction for the Chief Administrative Officer will start on August 13 and be completed before September 14 in Secunderabad. All pensioners of South Central Railway can avail the facility of the Help Desk for lodging pension related grievances, as well as to obtain any information relating to pension payment and the status of their 7th Central Pay Commission pension revision.
Pensioners can approach the Help Desks at offices concerned from where they have been retired, along with a copy of the last issued Pension Payment Order (PPO) and Service Certificate (SC) with them so as to address their concerns immediately said M Umashankar Kumar , chief public relations officer.
