6 win ‘Umrah Visa’ sponsored by Masiullah Khan
Hyderabad: Keeping up his promise of sponsoring free Umrah trip to those who worked hard during the Haj camp, Masiullah Khan, chairman, State Haj Committee, awarded the package to six persons who were selected through a draw of lots administered by Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali. A lady constable Iqra Haseena was presented a cash reward of Rs 15,000 for her ‘valuable services’ to the pilgrims this season.
The Haj Committee chairman thanked all the departments and organisations for extending cooperation for the success of the Haj Camp on its conclusion. As promised five persons and an employee was awarded Umrah trip who ensured that the Haj camp concluded hassle-free. A draw of lots was held on this occasion to select the five fortunate persons. Accordingly, Mohammed Pasha RTC Driver, a correspondent from Siasat Daily, Mohammed Zubair Ahmed (immigration), Mohammed Irshad Ahmed (luggage screening section), Mohammed Fareeduddin (volunteer) and Khaja Yousufuddin (office staff) were selected for this holy trip.
With the departure of 25th and the last haj Flight the Haj Camp 2018 came to a conclusion on Wednesday. Mahmood Ali flagged off the last batch consisting 247 pilgrims at Haj House in Nampally. On this occasion, besides Masiullah Khan, Mohammed Saleem chairman TS Waqf Board, MS Prabhakar MLC, Akber Hussain Chairman TS Minorities Finance corporation, Prof S A Shukoor Special Officer Haj Committee, Members of TS Haj Committee Arifuddin, Imtiaz Khan, Dr Aqeel Hashmi and Abu Talha Amjad and others were present. With this a total of 7,347 pilgrims from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka left for Mecca, KSA.
Speaking on the occasion the DY Chief Minister lauded the efforts of the TS Haj Committee and said that no other Haj committee was rendering such impressive services to the pilgrims. Mohammed Saleem advised the pilgrims to spend their time on prayers. M S Prabhkar MLC requested the pilgrims to pray for progress and prosperity of the state and the nation. Prof S A Shukoor explained important aspects of the Haj journey and advised the pilgrims to keep their money, Boarding Card and other important documents safely.
