Minister Mahender Reddy distributes awards to SSC passed students
Vikarabad: Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy pointed out that the government schools competing with private schools in extending quality education. He was taking part as chief guest in a programme that was held to honour SSC successful candidates who studied in private schools at Ambedkar Bhavan here on Thursday. The event was held under the aegis of Dr Sabita Anand Foundation here.
With introduction of English medium education in government schools and starting of the residential schools for SC, ST, BC and minority students, enrolment in government schools increased. Provision of two pairs of uniforms and supply of fine variety of rice to hostels are being provided. The government incurs an expenditure of Rs 1 lakh on each student’s head to provide quality of education.
In undivided Ranga Reddy district, all kinds of residential schools have been set up. He called upon students to study well and become a good citizen. Local MLA B Sanjiva Rao spoke. TRS leaders Prabhakar Reddy, Bantwaram PACS chairman Lakshma Reddy, MPDO Sattaiah, Tahsildar Chinnappala Naidu, MEO Baba Singh and others took part.
