CPM to hold padayatra on August 25
Pedda Amberpet: Demanding compensation to the land losers of mining zone in Abdullahpurmet mandal, CPI (M) leaders would be organising a padayatra on August 25. Speaking to the media at Praja Sanghala office here on Sunday, party Rangareddy district secretary Bhoopal said that the government acquired 600 acres on survey no 268 from 213 farmers under Bandaravirala, Chinnaravirala village revenue jurisdiction in 2004.
Till now the consecutive governments didn’t pay compensation to the farmers. Even TRS government which came in to power in 2014 by promising compensation is now rejecting to pay, he lamented. The leader said CPI (M) state secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram will lead the padayatra from Bandaravirala to Abdullahpurmet.
Later, they would lay siege to the MRO office. Party mandal secretary E Narsimha, mandal committee leaders Kishan, BSF constituency convener K Anjan Kumar, leaders M Lakshma Reddy, K Amarendar Reddy, Praja Sangala convener A Mahesh, SFI leaders K Nagendra, farmers Shankar, Narsimha, Jangayya, Arjun, Bhikshapathi were present.
