EFLU, OU students raise funds for Kerala
Tarnaka: It can be termed as a helping hand to Kerala which is in a pathetic condition due to heavy rains and floods. India is witnessing a huge collaboration of citizens irrespective of religion, poor and rich in mission to raise funds to Kerala flood victims. The students of the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) and Osmania University (OU) have been raising funds for three days at Arts College.
Nearly 15 t0 20 students of the both the universities started the collection of funds in the name of ‘Students Collective Efforts’. The students are raising the funds from the commuters and walkers in the campus at the Arts College.
Speaking to The Hans India, Jobin, hailing from Kerala and student of EFLU said, “So far we have collectedRs 1.5 lakh. It has been three days that the fundraising drive started. I am from Kerala and I know the pain of the people. On Monday we are going to raise funds from the faculty of the University. We are on mission to raise more funds and deposit it into Chief Minister Relief Fund (CMRF).”
Bilal of Bihar, a student of EFLU said, “This is our responsibility to give a hand to the fellow humans who are in need. I felt very bad when I heard about the pathetic situation and decided to join with students to collect funds. I also donated Rs 2,000 from my packet money.”
