Minister inaugurates modern dhobi ghat at Siddipet
Siddipet: Ministers T Harish Rao and Jogu Ramanna ironed clothes marking the inauguration of a modern dhobi ghat here on Tuesday.
The mechanised washing centre was set up with the cost of Rs 1.40 crore. Three washing machines with a capacity of 30 kg each, three spinners, one steam boiler, colander machine, two dryers and three tables for electric iron are set up. The dhobi ghat can wash one tonne of clothes in eight hours. As many as 500 families will be benefited with this centre.
Speaking on the occasion, Harish Rao appealed to everybody to attend Pragathi Nivedana Sabha to be held on September. He also advised to utilise tractors to reach the venue if buses and cars are not sufficient. Harish Rao also appealed to bless Chief Minister KCR by attending the meeting in large number.
MP Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, Whip in the Legislative Council Pathuri Sudhakar Reddy, MLC Farooq Hussian, district collector P Venkatrama Reddy, State MBC Corporation chairman Taduri Srinivas, former minister Basvaraj Saraiah, Municipal chairman Rajanarasu, leaders of Washermen Association were present.
