WEF: PM Modi all set to deliver the inaugural speech

Davos: A round-table meeting with CEOs of top global companies was held in Davos with Prime Minister Narendra Modi hosting the welcome reception for international elite gathered to discuss the challenges confronting the global economy.

MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar shared on Twitter that the Prime Minister elaborated on India’s growth at the roundtable meeting and also presented exciting opportunities for global business in India.

He also mentioned that PM Modi met Swiss President Alain Berset where they held discussions on deepening their bilateral cooperation.

The PM is slated to deliver the inaugural speech on Tuesday and is expected to make a strong statement while the officials attempt to showcase the ‘New India and its growing potential.

The Indian contingent is estimated to have crossed the century mark with Indian corporate chiefs including Tata Group chairman N Chandrashekhar, ICICI Bank's Chanda Kochhar, Wipro's Azim Premji and Reliance Group chairman Mukesh Ambani.

The attendance has definitely increased over the years as the Indian business has boomed in the global aspects.
