Komatireddy opposes uninterrupted power supply
Nalgonda: Government’s decision of round-the-clock power supply to farm sector is useful to landlords only, Nalgonda MLA Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has said. Addressing the media persons in Nalgonda on Monday, Komatireddy said small and marginal farmers were facing lots of problems and the new scheme would only benefit the farmers who own large tracks of lands.
Terming that government’s move was purely to attract votes Komatireddy alleged that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was going ahead with his unilateral decisions though officials concerned had warned him of dire consequences of supplying uninterrupted power supply.
He advised the government to provide 10 hours power supply to agriculture sector, instead of round-the-clock to avoid depletion of groundwater.
Former Nakrekal MLA Chirumarthy Lingaiah, party women wing district president Dhanalaxmi, Councillors Srinivas Reddy, Ibhrahim, party leaders Boddupally Srinivas, Lateef, Jukuri Ramesh, Subhash and others were present at the press meet.
