Tribal quadruplets gain weight
Bhadrachalam: The low-weight quadruplets born to a Chhattisgarh woman on December 13 at Jeevan Hospital have gained 400 grams each with the help of the Khammam-based private nursing home Jabilli Hospital.
Speaking to media here on Tuesday, Dr Spandana and Dr Sivaramakrishna Prasad of the Jeevan Hospital said, “The Jabilli Hospital provided free treatment worth several lakhs of rupees for the babies’ weight gain”. When mother, Kamey, was examined at a medical camp held in Chhattisgarh by an NGO MSF Seva Sanstha, doctors found that there was more than one baby in the womb.
She was asked to go to Jeevan Hospital in Bhadrachalam for treatment. Dr Spandana conducted all kinds of diagnostic tests and performed C-section on her on December 13. Dr Moparti Suresh babu of Jabilli Hospital in Khammam treated the babies to gain weight. Each baby is provided treatment worth Rs 5 lakh free of cost.
