MRPS demands release of Krishna Madiga
Khammam: Madiga Reservation Porata Samiti (MRPS) leader Turuganto Anjaiah Madiga on Sunday condemned the arrest of MRPS founder president Manda Krishna Madiga and demanded that the government release him immediately.
The representatives of the MRPS held ‘Mouna Diksha,’ in front of Ambedkar statute at ZP centre here, demanding that the government release Manda Krishna Madiga.
Speaking on the occasion Anjaiah said Krishna Madiga has been fighting for categorisation of Scheduled Castes. The government, he said, had arrested Krishna Madiga twice in 20 days.
Instead of fulfilling its promise to the Scheduled Caste community, the government was trying to suppress the movement, he alleged. He warned that the MRPS in coordination with people’s organisations would intensify agitation if the government failed to release Krishna Madiga unconditionally.
The MRPS representatives T Ramu, Boddu Srinu, Duddila Saidulu, Cirra Vekanna, K Nagaraju, Ashok, Anil, Moha, Nageshwar and Bhaskar and others were present.
