Chided by teacher, Class 9 student ends life

Khammam: In a tragic incident that took place in Gopalapuram village in Khammam on Monday, a ninth class student studying in Sri Vidyanikethan High School allegedly committed suicide after he was chided by one of his teacher.

According to sources, the deceased, identified as Dharvath Jyothi Prasad (16), son of Lakhmi Naik and Nagamani resident of Kesupalli village of Enkur mandal, was studying in Sri Vidhyanikethan High School  in Gopalapuram. He allegedly committed in the hostel building after he was chided by one of his teachers. After complaint from the parents of Jyothi Prasad, the police arrested the teacher and started the investigation.
