BJYM protests for jobs in Bhongir
Yadagirigutta: The activists of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, under the leadership of BJP state leader Dontiri Srinivas, staged a demonstration at the Martyrs’ Memorial here on Wednesday demanding the State government to fill vacant posts in various government departments.
Srinivas alleged that the TRS achieved statehood to Telangana with the slogan “Water, Funds and Jobs”, and later conveniently forgot to fulfill the promises.
“Chief Minister K Chandrashekar in 2015 on the floor of the State Legislative Assembly went on record stating that over 1.07 lakh posts in various government departments would be filled. But, the State government failed to conduct District Selection Committee (DSC) recruitment test to fill vacant teacher posts in various government schools in the last three years,” he said.
Due to repeated protests, the State government conducted the DSC recruitment to fill a portion of vacancies only, they pointed out. Some of their demands included filling up of posts in Yadadri Temple Development Authority with locals, over two lakh vacancies in government departments, revamping the Telangana State Public Service Commission and immediate filling up of top positions in universities.
