SP distributes winter cloths to Chenchus
Nagarkurnool: Sunpreet Singh, Superintendent of Police Nagarkurnool, on Friday visited the Chencupenta village located in deep forest of Nallamalla in Achampet mandal and interacted with them to know their problems and hardships. While interacting with the SP, the villagers of Chenchupenta said problems of daily life like scarcity of proper drinking water, roads and schools for their children.
The Chenchupenta villages are located more than 160 kilometres deep in forest away from the Nagarkurnool district head quarters. Majority of the Chencus have no access to proper medical facilities and frequently fall sick due to various diseases. The school children are also facing problems as they do not have proper transportation and need to travel long distances to visit the nearest school.
After heeding their problems patiently, the SP assured them that he would talk their problems with the government and get them resolved as soon as possible. Later the SP distributed winter cloths like sweaters, blankets and provided ration items like Rice, Fruits and other necessary things.
The SP later took stock of security situation in the Nallamalla forest area and directed the police to start security preparation for the Shiva Ratri Jatara in Borapur village, which is fast approaching by next month, where thousands of devotes visit the ‘Shiva Temple’ during the Jatara. “We have visited the Chencupenta villages and interacted with the villagers find out their problems and issues. We will talk to the government and ensure their issues be resolved very soon,” said the SP.
