T-Mass begins relay hunger strike
Khammam: The state leader of T-Mass Buggaveeti Sarala alleged that welfare schemes and social justice were not a mercy shown by government upon its people, but it was peoples’ right to have them in a democratic like India as per the population ratio. The representatives of T-Mass started a relay hunger strike under the leadership of Velpula Nageshwar Rao here at Dharna Chowk in front of the Collectorate in Khammam on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarala alleged that for the past 70 years the parties and the governments in the State and at the Centre were introducing various schemes for the welfare of people as an election stunt but were not implementing them perfectly.
“All-round development of Telangana is not possible without the development of SCs, STs, MBCs and Minorities who make up 93 per cent of population in the State,” she observed. “To achieve their rights, the people belonging to SC, ST, MBC and Minority communities along with various peoples organisations must fight in unison by coming under one platform,” she advised.
Forum leaders T Lingaiah, B Yakaiah, V Srinivas Rao, Y Gopi, S K Babu, Y Sikanya, P Nagasulochana, B Veerababu, K Alivelu, S K Saidulu, P Upendra Chary, P Sathyanarayana, R Hanumantha Chary, S K Khanam, T Venkanna, S Sudheer, G B Chowdari and Syed Usmaan were part of the relay hunger strike. Forum district convenor D Jwalitha, Y Srikanth, UTF state leader Bandi Narasimha Rao, Y Srinivas Rao and Y Vikram were present along with others.
