Geospatial meet kicks off in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Three-day Geospatial World Forum (GWF) got underway in the city on Wednesday with Union Minister of Science & Technology Dr Harshvardhan inaugurating it at Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC).
The global meet, which will conclude on Friday, is focusing on the role of geospatial technologies in enabling the new industrial revolution.
Speaking on the occasion, the Union Minister observed that the geospatial industry was making immense contribution towards economic and technological development in India. “Use of space and location technologies adds thousands of crores to the country’s GDP.
