Middle class urged to support good politics
Khammam: The middle class people who are present in large numbers across the country must be aware of politics and political parties and should play an active role in the development of nation, suggested senior journalist Pasham Yadagiri.
Speaking at a seminar organised by T-Mass on the topic ‘Government Policies- Impact on Middle Class People and Society’ under the leadership of Forum district chairman D Jwalitha, at Manchikanti Bhavan in Khammam on Thursday, Yadagiri said the country was being ruled by descendants of America.
“The State and Central governments are run by worldclass businessmen and big contractors. Joining hands with the governments, the corporate and multinational companies are forcing us to purchase their products without our knowledge,” he alleged.
Stating the government was keeping key issues, especially the suicides of Sircilla handloom workers and farmers on the backburner, he alleged that by suspending toddy that has only 8.5 alcohol percentage, the government was permitting foreign liquor which has 40 to 50 alcohol percentage and which also costs more than the toddy.
“The government is not providing education and medical services that are needed for middle class. Until there is change in the political arena, there will be no change in the lives of middle class people,” he said, suggesting the middle class people to be aware of politics and political parties, and must support those who strive for the all-round development of all sections of people.
Forum State leader Nunna Nageswara Rao, District Convenor Yerra Srikanth, T L Narasaiah, B V Raghavulu, G V Naga Malleshwar Rao, Venu Gopal, N Thirumala Charyulu, Machha Rangaiah and others were present.
