Cops aiming for crime-free State: DGP Mahender Reddy

Nalgonda/Suryapet/Yadadri: Director General of Police (DGP) M Mahender Reddy exuded confidence that the State police will emerge as number one police in the country with several reforms and measures taken in the last three and half years.

He went on a whirl wind tour in Nalgonda, Suryapet and Yadadri districts on Monday. During the tour, he inspected construction works of the district police office building in Suryapet, inaugurated cyber forensic lab and IT cell in Nalgonda and examined the ongoing works at Yadadri hillock and security arrangements.

Speaking on these occasion, he said the State police was successful in sending strong signals to anti-social elements and habituated offenders that there is no room for crime in the State and no one will be spared if found guilty.

Measures were taken to provide same services to the victims in all the 800 police stations across the State and directed the police officials to update themselves with new technologies in solving and cracking cases at jet speed.

Disclosing the main aim of the State police, the DGP informed that they have been striving hard to make Telangana as crime-free State. He advised cops to maintain friendly attitude with the citizens to maintain law and order more effectively.

He had darshan of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Bala Alayam in Yadadri on the day. Along with the Collector, Anitha Ramachandran, he insepcted the ongoing works at the hill top temple. 

Speaking to the media, he stated that the State police is planning to provide trust worthy security arrangements at Yadadri shrine, similar to Tirumala temple. IG Steephen Ravindra, police officials Prakash Jadav, Srinivas Rao and Ram Chandra Reddy accompanied the DGP during his tour.
