Govt suppressing people’s voice: CPI
Khammam: The suppression of people's voice is increasing day by day in the State under the TRS government, alleged CPI district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao at a general body meeting held at the party office here on Monday.
Party leaders and fulltime workers attended the meeting.Speaking at the meeting, Hemanth Rao criticised the State government of forcing the public into problems, which led several movements with public support for achieving separate Telangana State.
All the welfare schemes introduced by the government were good on paper but there were no signs of implementation. The government had utterly failed in implementing schemes like double bedroom houses, three acres land to Dalits etc. The schemes proved beneficial for middlemen, who were TRS leaders but not common man, he criticised.
Like eighth Nizam Nawab, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was trying to pass on his post to his son K T Rama Rao and next to his grand-son, he stated. Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre was dividing the people in the name of religion while KCR was dividing people in the name of caste and cheating them, he alleged.
The government must declare why it is conducting panchayat elections six months before, cutting short the tenure of village panchayat and sarpanches, he questioned. CPI leaders Potu Prasad, Shingu Narasimha Rao and Nageshwar Rao were present along with others.
