4 Maoist couriers held, medicines recovered
Bhadrachalam: Four Maoist couriers were apprehended on the outskirts of Charla town as part of a nakabandi held on Tuesday. The four were moving under suspicious circumstances leading to the police taking them into custody.
Disclosing this to media at the Charla police station, SI Satyanarayana said the arrested persons were identified as Muski Bheema, Y Ichchu, Muski Unga and Mudem Bicham of neighbouring Chhattisgarh.
The police recovered medicines worth Rs 10,000 from them. They were apprehended when the police searched vehicles on the outskirts of Charla as per the directions of Sunil Dutt, Assistant Superintendent of Police.
The apprehended admitted that they have been taking medicines to supply them to the Maoists. The four couriers were later sent to remand.
