Govt to compensate farmers for losing lands under railway line soon
Mahbubnagar: Farmers who have lost lands under the railway line doubling and Information Technology hub in Mahbubnagar distinct will soon get the compensation for their lost land from the government. As part of this the district administration of Mahabubnagar is getting ready to distribute cheques worth of Rs. 58 crores to be paid as compensation.
While conducting a review of the land acquisition for the two prominent projects of rail way line doubling and IT corridor in the district, collector Ronald Rose directed the concerned revenue officials to complete the land acquisition on time and ensure all the land losers get their compensation as per the norms set by the government.
“As we have already completed the land survey works, we have directed the revenue officials to complete the acquisition process and distribute cheques to all the farmers and land losers as early as possible,” informed the collector.
As the Koilsagar project in the district is nearing completion and only some stretches of land acquisition is still remaining, the collector ordered the revenue officials to complete the land acquisition process and immediately send the report on the status of project to the state government on priority.
The collector said that as land acquisition is the main issue in the development of road, rail and irrigation projects in the district, he directed them to ensure land acquisition is completed on priority and help the government speed up the development works in the district. Joint collector Krishan Aditya, Laxmi Narayana RDO and PRRLI EEs and Koilsagar EES along with DRDO PD Anand Kumar and other senior officials took part in the meeting.
