Protect Parsa Trust lands, urges BNS
Khammam: Brahman Niyogi Sangham (BNS) district president Shanagapati Murali Krishna on Monday demanded that the government should conduct survey as per webland (a web-based land records management system) and install fencing around Parsa Trust land in Raghava Mahal road in Khammam.
BNS representatives gave a representation to the Administrative Officer in the absence of Revenue Development Officer at the RDO office here on the occasion of Grievance Day, requesting the officer to take the land into the custody of revenue department.
Speaking on the occasion, Murali Krishna alleged that the endowments department was showing 2,500 feet land only when the Trust land actually is 5,000 feet and stated that the remaining land was encroached by land grabbers. There is no protection for the land, which was under endowments, he pointed out.
He demanded to form a Trust Committee with the members from Brahman community and to issue enquiry orders about the Trust land that belongs to endowments. His other demands include issuance of caste, local and income certificates to people belonging to Brahmin community without delay and to take necessary steps for re-opening Sanskrit School, which was established under the Parsa Trust in the past. BNS representatives K Mani Kumar, P Anantha Lakshmi, K Narasimha Rao and S Sridevi were present along with others.
