Stone laid for 192 2BHKs in Pillalamarri

 Suryapet: Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy stated that the government was striving to provide 2BHK houses to all eligible homeless poor in the State. The Minister laid foundation stone for the construction of 192 double bedroom houses with an estimated cost of Rs 10.17 crore in 2 acres land at the historic Pillalamarri village of Suryapet mandal on Wednesday.

Addressing the villagers on the occasion, Jagadish Reddy said plans were afoot to construct well-equipped modern graveyards for Hindu, Muslim and Christian communities in Suryapet town. So also, vehicles would be arranged from MLA funds to shift the dead bodies to respective graveyards.

He appreciated Phoenix foundation for providing Rs 3 crore aid to develop infrastructure in Hindu graveyard located in Suryapet town. Similarly, the Minister laid foundation stones for 33/11 KV substation, which is to come up at an estimated cost of Rs 1.09 crore, laying of CC roads, with an estimated cost of Rs 15 lakh, digging of a well at Tomadavelli rivulet to cater to the drinking water needs of the people of Patharla Pahad village of Atmakur (S) mandal in the district.

District Collector Surendra Mohan, Municipal Chairperson Ganduri Pravallika, Market Committee Chairman Y Venkateshwarlu, District Library Chairman Srinivas Goud, MPP Laxmi, local body representatives and others took part in the programme.
