Nalgonda: CPM state leader and former Miryalaguda MLA Julakanti Ranga Reddy stated that the State government failed in all aspects. Addressing the media in Nalgonda on Wednesday, Julakanti said Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao made lot of promises during separate statehood struggle, but miserably failed to keep his promises after attaining power.

“Filling of vacant government posts, sanctioning of 2 BHKs to eligible poor, three acres land to landless poor Dalits etc, have become hollow promises,” he stated, adding that common people were facing lot of problems in health and education sectors.

Alleging that farmers suicides increased in the last three-and-a-half years rule of TRS, he accused the government of gagging the voices of opposition parties, organisations and individuals fighting against the anti-people policies of the government. “Government insulted whole farming community in the State by handcuffing the farmers in Khammam,” he recalled, accusing the government of grabbing lands of poor people by imposing Land Acquisition Act, 2013.

Adding that only Chief Minister and his family members benefitted after State’s formation, he mocked that the government hiked the salaries of MLAs, while the common people were struggling to earn their bread and butter.

“On behalf of people, CPM has been fighting against government’s anti-people policies and conducted Mahajana Padayatra across the State to know the problems of people at grassroot level,” he said.

Stating that party’s four-day State-level meetings would be held from February 4 to 7, in Nalgonda, Julakanti informed that lots of political changes were going to happen in the State in near future. Party leaders Mudireddy Sudhakar Reddy, Veera Reddy, Hasham, Salim, Nari Illiaiah and others attended the press conference.
