Students should take to sports to remain fit, advises Addl DCP

Khammam: The students who have lot of passion towards playing games and sports must perform well to succeed in the respective events they choose, advised Additional DCP K Suresh Kumar here on Tuesday.

The Additional DCP inaugurated a sports meet organised here at Sri Krishna Prasad Memorial High School in Khammam on Tuesday.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional DCP said besides concentrating on studies, the students must participate regularly in sports and games competitions they are interested in and keep themselves fit both mentally and physically. Schools must conduct such events now and then along with focusing on academics, advised the DCP, stating that parents must also encourage their wards towards taking part in sports and games competitions.

Meanwhile, students actively participated in Kabaddi, Kho-kho, running and long-jump besides essay writing and elocution competitions that were held on the day. CAR Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkateshwarlu and Sri Krishna Prasad Memorial High School Principal Sheshagiri Rao were present along with others.
