Notorious gang nabbed

Wanaparthy: The Wanaparthy police arrested a notorious gang of three robbers on Wednesday and recovered Rs 2 lakh, 26 tulas of gold, 40 tulas of Silver, and one pulsar bike from their possession. 

According to Superintendent of Police (SP) Rohini Priyadarshini, a notorious gang of three persons were involved in various thefts in Gadwal, Wanaparthy and Nagarkurnool district and they were giving night mares to the Wanaparthy police with sporadic thefts reported in Pangal, Peddamandadi, Kodair and Nagarkurnool mandals since past three months. The modus operandi of this gang is to target those houses which are locked in the day time and later they break into those houses by conducting a rekey of the area and decamp with valuables. 

Based on increased complaints of regular robberies in Wanaparthy, the district SP formed a special team lead by Kotta Kota Circle inspector Som Narayana Singh. As part of investigation, the CI along with this team conducted a thorough vehicle check drive in Kotta kota and stumbled up on three persons carrying a bag were driving on a bike in a suspicious manner.  Up on enquiring with them the police identified them as the suspected thieves who were involved in various robberies and arrested them for further interrogation. 

Based on the revelation, the police identified the three persons as Talari Narasihma, Talari Anjaneyulu and Boya Yellaswamy all residents of Gadwal districts. The SP congratulated the initiative of the CI for catching the three notorious burglars and rewarded him.
