Two KGBV girls bitten by snake

Mahbubnagar: Two girls in Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV) of Amarachinta mandal in Wanaparthy district were bitten by a snake and were immediately rushed to Mahbubnagar district hospital on Friday. 

According to sources, two girls of Kottakota mandal studying in Class VII at KGBV, Amarachinta were said to be bitten by a snake when they were sleeping in a hostel room. Soon after learning about the incident, Special Officer Hemalatha rushed both the girls to Mahbubnagar district hospital for treatment. 

However, it is yet to be confirmed whether the girls were bitten by a snake or by some insect, as the students have not seen the serpent, but had found bite marks on them. Though the condition of the students is said to be stable, the officials did not want to take any chance and shifted the girls for preliminary treatment.
