Red gram farmers allege irregularities at market

Suryapet: Huge quantities of red gram arrived at Suryapet agriculture market on Friday. Farmers brought the produce to the market due to reopening of procurement centre after a gap of few days. 

Meanwhile, few Farmers alleged that traders were also bringing the red gram to the market in the guise of farmers. They further alleged that traders were purchasing red gram from them at low rates citing moisture content and were reselling the produce for higher price at the same market. They demanded the officials concerned to initiate strict action against such pseudo farmers.
