8 held for buying sheep from scheme beneficiaries

Nalgonda: Madgulapally police arrested eight persons for buying sheep given to shepherds under sheep development scheme. On Tuesday, on a tip off, Madgulapally police seized three lorries and a DCM van in which more than 600 sheep were being transported to Guntur district at local a toll plaza. 

As per the Madugulapally SI Raghavender, the arrested confessed that they were transporting the sheep to Guntur, which they purchased at low cast from beneficiaries of sheep scheme of Chityal, Katangur, Ramannapet mandals of Nalgonda and Yadadri districts. 

During police investigation, it came to be known that of the 600 sheep in six vehicles, about 200 sheep belong to the accused persons. Police registered cases against the drivers and brokers and took up the investigation.
