CPM seeks pensions for beneficiaries
Khammam: CPM State leader Buggaveeti Sarala alleged that many eligible poor were facing hardships due to non-receival of pensions for the last two months. Party representatives, in this regard, staged a dharna in front of the municipal office here in Khammam on Tuesday, demanding the government to sanction pensions that were pending for the last two months.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarala alleged that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and his family members had kept four important portfolios to themselves and were earning more than needed. The government must come to the rescue of poor who were dependent only on pensions, she said. “The government is behaving negligently towards poor people.
How they can live without pensions?” she questioned, demanding the government to sanction pensions immediately that were pending for the last two months and save poor people. Later, party members submitted a representation to Khammam Municipal Commissioner and requested him to take steps for sanctioning of pensions to eligible poor as early as possible.
Party leaders Yerra Srinivasa Rao, Y Vikram, Kogati Giri, Thirupati Rao, T Lingaiah, Naga Sulochana, Narra Ramesh, Venkat Kumar, Gattu Rama Devi, K Guru Murthy, Amaravathi, Ramya and Bhukya Srinu were present along with others.
