DCP hands over aid to bereaved kin of home guards

Khammam: The police personnel must discharge their duties with utmost responsibility by maintaining cordial relations with people, advised Divisional Commissioner of Police (DCP) K Suresh Kumar.

The DCP participated in a regular parade programme and inspected the Guard of Honour of police personnel here at Police Parade Grounds in Khammam on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, the DCP said the State government had introduced a number of welfare programmes for police personnel and home guards. 

He added that home guards were discharging their duties equally like that of regular police personnel and there was no difference between a home guard and a police constable in terms of services they were providing.

“People are noticing the services that you are rendering. With discipline and commitment, one should work transparently,” he advised.

Later, the DCP handed over the cheques for Rs 10,000 each for marriage of daughters of home guards, cheques for Rs 5,000 each for family members of home guards for medical bills and cheques for Rs 15,000 from Central Welfare Fund for the family members of those home guards who died in the line of duty.

Assistant Commissioners of Police Venkateshwarlu and Vijaya Babu, Khammam Rural ACP Naresh Reddy, Traffic ACP Sada Niranjan, Circle Inspectors Thirupathi Reddy, Anjali, Nageshwar Rao, Reserve Inspector Nageshwar Rao, Srinivas, Madan Mohan and Ravi were present along with others.
