Officials gearing up for foolproof Inter exams
Suryapet: District Collector Surendra Mohan directed the officials concerned to make all necessary arrangements for the smooth conducting of Inter exams in the district. He was addressing the officials of the Intermediate and the police in an orientation meeting held at the Collectorate meeting hall here on Friday.
As per the schedule, Inter exams start on February 28 and conclude on March 19. The exams will be conducted from 8.45 am to 12 noon regularly. Surendra Mohan advised the students to reach the exam centres in time. He directed the officials concerned to provide drinking water and medical facilities at the centres.
He directed the police officials to shut down photocopy centres in the vicinity during the exam hours. He directed respective officials to take all measures to avoid mass copying at exam centres and prevent paper leaks and bring good name to the district with respect to the conducting of exams.
ASP Shaik Ismail informed the Police Department was taking all security measures at all exam centres in the district and stringent action would be taken on those who tried to leak the question papers.
District Intermediate Education Officer Ravi said that as many as 21,185 students were appearing for the exams in the district, of them 8,887 students were appearing for junior Inter and 12,298 were appearing for senior Inter examinations.
For smooth conducting of exams, 38 chief superintendents and 38 deputy superintendents were allotted to 38 centres, apart from constituting three district exams organizing committees, two flying squads and six sitting squads, he added.
TSRTC would ply special buses in all routes for the convenience of students, he said adding that students would not be allowed to enter the exam centre if they came even one minute late. Lectures, teachers and Inter officials participated in the orientation programme.
