MLA distributes shoes to students
Kothagudem: The Telangana government is giving importance to develop rural areas, said MLA Jalagam Venkat Rao. He visited rural areas and participated in developmental works in his constitutency on Friday. He also conducted bhumi puja for road works at a cost of Rs 4 crores in Laxmidevipalle village; bhumi puja for bridge construction near Bangaru Chiluka village worth Rs 2.5 crores.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said the government has released more funds to develop village roads, hospitals and other works. Later, he distributed shoes to the students of Old Kothagudem Government School. He thanked Madivi Peddi Rangaiah Foundation for donating shoes to the students.
Development works of the school were supported by KTPS, Navabharath and SCCL, he said. He told the students to work hard to score good marks. The MLA inspected construction of classrooms and other works in the school.
District Rural Development Project Director P Jagath Kumar Reddy, AD Karuna Sree, DE Sudhakar, and the other department officers Maryanna, Rakesh participated the program.
