Women exhorted to focus on education

 Nalgonda: Retired Assistant Social Welfare Officer Nagamani Reddy on Monday exhorted the women to concentrate on education to reach top positions in their chosen fields. 

On the eve of International Women’s day, the MVN trust gavefree tailoring course completed certificates to women at a meeting held at the Trust Bhavan in Nalgonda.

Addressing the gathering, she said the women should gain self-sufficiency to lead happy and independent life.

Expressing concern over the delay in passing 33 percent reservation for women in Lok Sabha and State Assemblies, she demanded that political parties support the Bill unanimously and unconditionally on the floor of the ensuring Parliament sessions. 

She expressed her concern over the increasing attacks on women across the country and demanded that the governments take stern action against the culprits and strictly implement the laws to provide justice to the victim women. 

She appreciated the services of MVN Trust and felt that tailoring course would help the women earn money at their door-step.

She advised the young women to update their knowledge with the help of latest technology to grab good opportunities. 

In this programme, MVN Trust convener Meenaiah, secretary Narsi Reddy, faculty Kavitha, in-charge Ashok,  tailoring faculty Vimala, Renuka, Suryakala, Shankar and others participated.
