Centre urged to withdraw amendment to MV ACT
Khammam: The State Vice-President of the AIRTWF Upendar, here on Tuesday, demanded that the government withdraw the amendment to the Motor Vehicles Act. The representatives of the AIRTWF submitted a memorandum to the District Revenue Officer J Shiva Srinivas in this regard here.
Speaking on the occasion, Upendar said that many private vehicle owners, who are eking out a living by operating vehicles on rent, are facing hardship due to the amendment to the Motor Vehicle Act in 1998. The leaders of CITU, AITUC, INTUC, TNTUC, IFTU Balaji, Mohan Rao, Srinu, Ramesh, Nageshwar Rao, Ramu, Madar, Raghu, S K Aziz, S Naveen, R Ramesh, R Ravi Kumar, S K Babu, V Suresh, Y Sathyam, Eshwar and Ashok were present along with others.
