Rabid dog bites six, injured asked to go to Hyd for treatment

Nagarkurnool: A rabid dog attacked six persons in Narsaiahpally village under Kodair mandal in Nagarkurnool district on Monday. With large number of stray dogs roaming freely in the village, the people are too scared to venture out during night time. A rabid dog attacked six persons and caused grave injuries to them. 

Later all the injured persons were shifted to Kollapur area hospital for treatment.  However, the doctors and the hospital staff denied treatment to the injured as there was no adequate facilities or rabies vaccine in the hospital. The hospital staff advised the injured patients to immediately rush to Hyderabad for further treatment.

The victims were forced to go to Hyderabad for treatment.  The relatives of the patients and the people alike expressed anger over the way the patients were treated at the Kollapur government hospitals. 

They demanded that the government provide all the necessary facilities at the government area hospital in Kollapur.
