Ex-minister Ramreddy arrested
Suryapet: District police placed former Minister Ramreddy Damodar Reddy here on Wednesday under house arrest. The police took him along with Patel Ramesh Reddy into custody, while they were leaving for Hyderabad to express their solidarity with Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Samapath, who were expelled from the Assembly. Venkat Reddy and Sampath are on 48-hour hunger strike Gandhi Bhavan in Hyderabad.
Speaking to the media, Damodar Reddy come down heavily on Chie Minister K Chandrashekar Rao. The Chief Minister was behaving like a dictator, he said. Even though TRS legislators had misbehaved in the Assembly during the Telangana agitation, Telangana congress had extended its cooperation, he recalled. He said the Congress party would go ahead with a slogan “quit KCR and Save Telangna.”
The TRS party had deliberately suspended the Congress leaders in a bid to hide its failures. The ruling party had suppressed the dissent and ensured that the opposition did not point out its failures during the discussions in House, he said. He demanded that the government release the arrested congress leaders and activists across the State immediately.
