TVV demands closure of corporate colleges
Khammam: The state vice-president of Telangana Vidyavanthula Vedika, Swathi, demanded the government for closure of corporate colleges like Sri Chaitanya and Narayana Educational Institutions which were ‘ruining’ the education system in the State.
Swathi along with representatives of TVV district unit released a poster in this connection here at Mammillagudem in Khammam on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, Swathi informed that the representatives of the Vedika were distributing pamphlets to parents of SSC students at the examination centres from March 15, urging them to not to join their wards in corporate colleges like Sri Chaitanya and Narayana.
She alleged that by collecting huge fee from students, the managements of the said colleges were robbing innocent parents of their hard-earned money, besides putting pressure on students for securing top ranks. She alleged that unable to bear the pressure, some students were even taking extreme steps.
In protest against such corporate colleges, a dharna would be held in front of such colleges on March 24, at district headquarters, and on March 27, the representatives would lay siege to Inter Board office in Hyderabad, she informed.
She appealed to the students and parents not to allow staff of corporate colleges enter their villages seeking admission into their colleges.
Representatives of the Vedika Nagendra, Pavithra, Naga Raju, Ramesh, Lakshman and Rakesh were present along with others.
