Cops seize 101 bikes during cordon & search operation in Suryapet

Suryapet: With an aim to make Suryapet a crime-free district, the district police have been conducting cordon and search operations in various localities of the district for the last few days. 

SP Prakash Jadav along with Kodad DSP, three Circle Inspectors, 13 Sub-Inspectors and 140 police personnel carried out the cordon and search operation on Wednesday early hours in Banjara Colony of Kodad town.   
  
During the operation, the police seized 101 two-wheelers and three auto-rickshaws as the owners of the vehicles failed to produce valid registration papers. They also arrested a person against whom a non-bailable warrant was issued.

The police checked as many as 340 houses in the Colony and verified the details of persons staying in them. They also verified the thumb impressions of 26 suspicious persons with FINS device.  

Speaking to the media, the SP informed that district police was taking all measures to curb criminal activities and advised people to check the papers while purchasing second hand vehicles and also enquire about persons before giving houses on rent. 

He appealed to the people to pass on information about any illegal activities taking place in their localities and also about suspicious persons to reduce crime rate in the district.
