Elated Goud community thanks CM KCR for sops

Nagarkurnool: The leaders and community members of Gouda Association of Achampet mandal in Nagarkurnool district performed ‘Palabhishekam’ to the portrait of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, Industries and MAUD Minister K Taraka Rama Rao and Achampet MLA Guvvala Balaraju for showering sops on BC communities, particularly the toddy tappers.

Narasimha Goud, Sarpanch and Association president of Achampet mandal stated that in the last 60 years no government had thought about the welfare of toddy tappers. He praised the Chief Minister for his in-depth understanding of the plight of poor BC communities, particularly the toddy tappers. 

Goud thanked the Chief Minister for announcing 5 acres of land and Rs 5 crore for the Goud community for their self-employment. “No government earlier had announced any such sops for the welfare of Goud community. Particularly, the announcement of increased ex gratia from Rs 2 lakh to 5 lakh for toddy tappers, who accidentally die after falling from trees while tapping toddy, is really a great gesture of humanity. 

CM KCR’s announcement is really a great boost for people poor Goud community, who are reeling under poverty with no proper employment and source of income in the rural areas,” observed Narsimha Goud. 

The leaders of the association took out a rally up to the Ambedkar statue near the bus stand and praised the Chief Minister. Vijay Kumar Goud, Talluka Sangam president, Tirupataiah Goud, Ravinder Goud, Ramulu Goud, Venkatiah Goud, Srinivas Goud, Venkatswamy Goud, Rama Krishna and V Ravinder Goud, vice-president of Achampeta Press Club participated in the programme.
