Fake seeds businessman held in Sircilla
Sircilla: The Task Force police officials of Sircilla nabbed a person who was allegedly indulged in selling of fake seeds to the farmers of united Karimnagar District here on Friday.
According to the Superintendent of Police Kampati Vishwajit the accused was identified as Kota Srinivas (36) son of Anjaiah resident of Vegurpalli village of Manakondur mandal living at Sapthagiri Colony of Ramnagar in Karimnagar district was indulged in spurious seeds business for two years.
K Srinivas is working as Sales Manager in Bio-company at Karimnagar. Previously he worked in Cotton seed plant at Toofran of Medal District. For two years he was indulged in the business of selling of fake seeds to the farmers of Peddapalli, Karimnagar and Mancherial Districts. Last year he was arrested by the Peddapalli and Chennur Police officials, he informed.
The Task Force Police officials, while conducting Patrolling in the late hours on Thursday, apprehended K Srinivas under suspicious circumstances along with three plastic bags contained about 150 kg of spurious Cotton seeds purchased from Praveen, the owner of the Akshara Cotton Seed Plants of Hyderabad, said the SP.
The Superintendent of Police Kampati Vishwajit appealed to all the farmers to be aware of people and the companies which are selling the fake seeds and fertilisers and urged them not to buy the seeds from the companies which do not have license.
He also urged the farmers to convey the information to the police officials immediately as soon as they come to notice of the any persons and company indulging in selling of spurious seeds.
