CPM leaders launches door-to-door campaign in Khammam

Khammam: District leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Yerra Srinivas here on Monday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress of being responsible for the economic backwardness of India.

The CPI-M activists launched a door-to-door campaign in the Sundarayya Nagar here, urging people to participate in large numbers in the national conference of CPI-M party and make it a grand success, The conference is scheduled to be held from April18 to 22 in Hyderabad.

Speaking on the occasion, Srinivas alleged that the BJP and Congress parties were responsible for the backwardness of India which is finding it tough to compete economically with other countries.

The anti-people policies adopted by both the parties and promotion of communalism led the country to backwardness. Extending a helping hand to corporate companies and ignoring the development of weaker sections is pushing the country into dark age.

 He appealed to the people of all sections teach a befitting lesson to both the BJP and Congress parties to protect democracy in the country. CPI-M leaders S K Imaam, M Srinivas, Y Nagesh, Ramaswamy, M Ramu, B Srinivas and M Lingaiah were present along with others.
