Modi’s graph is falling steeply: Thammineni
Khammam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s graph is falling by the day across the country and it reflected in the defeat of the BJP in the byelections in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, according to State Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Thammineni Veerabhadram here on Wednesday.
The CPI-M leaders took out a massive motorcycle rally here, welcoming the ‘bus yatra’ to Khammam city. The party is organising ‘bus yatra’ as part of the campaign to highlight the importance of CPI-M national conference to be held between April 18 and 22 in Hyderabad.
At a meeting held on the occasion at Dharna chowk in front of the District Collectorate, Veerabhadram said the economic reforms that were introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi robbed the poor of their livelihood.
During the four years of ruling by the BJP party, attacks on Dalits and Minorities increased across the country. By encouraging communalism, the BJP and its affiliate RSS carried out attacks on people opposed their ideology in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Rajasthan. The forces inimical to secularism had assassinated intellectuals who questioned the anti-people’s policies of the BJP, he said.
He recalled the election promise made by Modi that he would deposit Rs.15 lakh in the accounts of every citizen by bringing back about Rs 80 lakhs crore of black money. But he had failed to fulfil the promise. So is the case with his promise to create 2 crore jobs.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was mesmerising the people by making false promise. Instead of distributing three acres of land to Dalits, the Chief Minister was grabbing the lands from farmers, he said.
The CPI-M State leaders Pothineni Sudharshan Rao, John Wesley, Buggaveeti Sarala, Ponnam Venkateshwar Rao, Mannepalli Subba Rao District Secretary Nunna Nageshwar Rao, Bandi Ramesh, Yerra Srikanth and Kalyanam Venkateshwar Rao were present along with others.
