T JAC stages protest against Private Universities Act
Khammam: Telangana Joint Action Committee (T JAC) advisor Y Vinay Kumar here on Friday alleged that the education system in the State would be ruined if private universities are allowed. The Private Universities Bill, which was passed in the Assembly, would have devastating consequences, he said.
Representatives of the T JAC staged a sit-in under the leadership of Kishore Kumar of Telangana Vidhyarthi Vedika (TVV) here in front of the Dr B R Ambedkar Statue at ZP centre in protest against the decision to allow private universities.
Speaking on the occasion, Vinay Kumar alleged that the youth belonging to the poor and middle-class families would be denied higher education with the introduction of private universities. The corporation educational institutes were already robbing the people by promising quality education.
The private universities would further ruin the education system, he said. He demanded that the government reverse its decision to allow private universities.
T JAC leaders Bhadru Naik, Venkateshwarlu, T Ramu, Deepak, Kiran, Naresh, Nagaraju, Ramesh, Srinu, Ravi, Sai and Suresh were present along with others.
