Support for Bahujana Left Front sought
Khammam: District Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), Nunna Nageshwar Rao here on Tuesday sought the support all sections of people to the newly formed Bahujan Left Front (BLF) for all-round development of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and Minorities.
A meeting was held with the representatives of the Three Town Committee of the CPM party under the leadership of S K Babu here on Tuesday. Speaking at the meeting, Nageshwar Rao alleged that the TRS party in its four years of ruling had failed to fulfil its promisies to the people. It kept on making of hollow promises, he said.
The CPI-M party leading from the front participated in several movements and fought on many issues related to shelter less poor people, scheme workers, for workers under NREGS, for Podu lands and for the farming sector of the district, he. He recalled that the CPI-M had organised 4,000 km padayatra.
The people had given warm welcome to the party leaders during padayatra. The TRS government had introduced some welfare schemes for the people belonging to Backward Class Community only after the CPI-M had organised padayatra, he felt.
He urged the people of all sections to extend their support for the newly established BLF. CPI-M leaders Y Srikanth, T Lingaiah, B Yakaiah, Y Srinivas Rao, S K Saidulu, M Sathyam, B Veerababu, Bhukya Srinivas Rao, P Naga Sulochana, Y Sukanya, P Upendra Chary, Y Nagesh, H Bujji, Pulla Rao, A Eshwaraiah, Veerabhadram and S K Masthan were present along with others.
