TSACS staff threatens to launch strike from April 10

 Khammam: The Medical and Health Department employees deputed to the Telangana State Aids Control Society (TSACS) here on Tuesday demanded that the government implement equal pay for equal work.The representatives of TSACS submitted a memorandum to the District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar here in this regard.

Speaking on this occasion, TSACS representatives said they are discharging their duties as contract employees in the TSACS for the last 15 years, but the government has not recognised their services and treated them as employees.

The government is also not implementing the rule of equal pay for equal work, they said. They demanded that the government pay increment with retrospective effect.The employee threatened to launch indefinite strike from April 10 if their grievances are not redressed.

They boycotted their duties along and staged a protest in front of the Collectorate at Dharna Chowk. Representatives of TSACS T Venkateshwarlu, D Sathya Kumar M Nagaiah, Raheem, Nagamani, Rangarao, Srikanth and Sitha were present along with the representatives of the DAPW, ART, ICTC, PPTCT and Blood Bank staff.
