Speed up canal works: Collector to officials

 Bhongir: District Collector Anitha Ramachandran on Wednesday dircted the officials concerned to speed up the land acquisition and modernisation works of Pillaipalli, Dharamareddy and Bunadigani canals in the district.

The Collector along with Joint Collector Ravi Naik was holding a review meeting with officials on progress of land acquisition and status of works of Pillaipalli, Dharamareddy and Bunadigani canals in the district.

Speaking on this occasion, she inquired about the status of works of 15 and 16 packages under Kaleshwram project.
She directed the officials to pay compensation to the oustees immediately from the funds already released for land acquisition.

Expressing her concern over the poor progress of works, the Collector instructed officials to work together to complete the works of canals in the interest of farmers.

In this programme, Irrigation EE Ramakrishna Reddy, Kaleshwaram project engineers Hyderkhan, Ashok, RDOs bhoopal Reddy, Suraj Kumar, LA Deputy Collector Shivaji and 
others participated.
