CPM to hold a public meeting in Hyd on April 22
Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist will organise a public meeting in Hyderabad on April 22, according to party leader Sudharshan Rao here on Sunday. CPI-M national conference is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad between April 18 and 22.
At a media conference at Sundarayya Bhavan here, Sudharshan Rao said important decisions would be taken at the party’s national conference. The party’s national conference would chalk out strategy to be adopted at the national level.He said the CPI-M has been waging a fight against anti-people policies being adopted by the Central and State governments and in support of farmers.
Under the leadership of the CPI-M party State Secretary Thammineni Veerabhadram, ‘Mahapada Yatra’ was held covering thousands of kilometres and highlighted the problems being faced by the people.
The BJP government at the Centre and TRS in the State are encouraging communalism and attacking on Dalits, tribals, minorities, poets and artists too. Attack on journalist became common, he said.
He urged the party activists, leaders, students, intellectuals and peoples belonging to all sections along with the representatives of various people’s organisations to participate in the national conference and make it a grand success.
CPI-M district secretary Nunna Nageshwar Rao and Y Srikanth were present.
