Police conduct search & cordon operations In Nalgonda
Nalgonda: District Police has conducted cordon and search operations in Scheduled Castes and Backward Classes colonies in Narketpally mandal headquarters in the district in the early hours of Sunday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Sudhakar along with 10 Circle Inspectors, 20 sub-inspectors, 150 police personnel conducted operations in two colonies and seized 20 bikes, 3 auto-rickshaws as the owners failed to produce valid documents.
Police also seized 40 ganja pockets and three persons into custody for interrogation.During the searching operations in the colonies, police searched the houses and verified details of the persons staying in them.
Speaking to the media, the DSP appealed to the people to pass on information if they come across any illegal activities in their respective localities.
Meanwhile, Kodad police arrested three bike offenders and seized 12 bikes worth of Rs 5.50 lakhs from them Special operation team police raided a betting centre and arrested nine persons, besides seizing five bikes, car, one laptop. TV and Rs 54,000 cash from the spot. The arrested persons were charged with betting in connection with IPL.
