Cong leaders join issue with KTR
Khammam: Congress party leaders here on Tuesday strongly condemned Minister for Municipal Administration K T Rama Rao for making unsavoury comments against the TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and the party.
Speaking to the media at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan here, Congress party district unit general secretary Nagulabandi Rambabu criticised the Minister and the TRS leaders. It appeared that the TRS held the meeting in Khammam on Monday only to criticise the TPCC working president, he said.
The government had failed to sanction any funds for development activities in the city. The development works launched during the visit of the Minister were all taken up with the funds secured by the Municipal Corporation through layout regularisation scheme (LRS) and building regularisation scheme (BRS), he said.
He questioned what happened to the foundation stones laid during the visit of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao for a new bus station and a building for municipal office. “Minister for Municipal KTR’s tirade at Madhira public meeting reflects backward thinking,” he said.Congress party leaders P Durga Prasad, Md. Javed and V Babu were present at the media conference.
