Government committed to development of backward areas

Chandampeta (Nalgonda): Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy here on Tuesdaysaid the State government is giving top priority for the development of backward areas in the State. 

Attended as a chief guest atthe general body meeting of Chandampet Mandal Parishad, the Minister said the government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was giving priority for welfare schemes and development of the State. The development activities and welfare schemes being implemented in the State won accolades, he said.

Now, Telangana State has become centre of attraction of the country. Officials of various States have come to study the government flagship programmes like Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya, he added Even though Devarakonda constituency has resources and water streams, it remained backward due to lack of planning during the previous regimes.

 Now the constituency has been developed after the formation of the State. ZP Chairman Balu Naik, MP Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Devarakonda MLA Ramavath Ravindra Kumar and others participated in the programme.
